Hey Wintergreen!

When coming to the Wintergreen building there are lots of things running through a person’s mind. Usually coming here means you’re here to pay a bill, talk to financial aid, go to the registrar’s office, or meet with an academic adviser. Sometimes meeting with these people can cause stress for a person and make them very nervous or uneasy about what may happen inside. Wintergreen inside is filled with colors. I believe this is so that it helps relax students when they come in here to take care of whatever business they may have. If you were to walk into a building where the walls were all white, that person may not be at ease going to take care of business. Wintergreen is a very non intimidating environment take the figures sculpted on the ceiling for instance these swigglely shape figures are colored with relaxing blues, purple, and a lighter blue to help relax a student’s mind when coming in. if it wasn’t for these sculptures I don’t believe wintergreen would be a great place to get everything done that you would like to get done peacefully. I wish that there were a bit more color in the building because it doesn’t give off a happy place it just shows that it’s a relaxing environment. I also wish there were more sculptures and figures on the ground so it is more visible for people to see at first glance. With these suggestions Wintergreen could really be a place everyone would have no problem coming to. I enjoy it there because I can escape and do my homework there and not be bothered. It’s the perfect place it’s not too loud and it’s not too quiet. For those who do not know where Wintergreen is located it is right on Wintergreen Ave, New Haven, next to Moore Field House and across from the health center.
